AJ Jolly Park & Campground is an award-winning, 1000-acre park that offers many outdoor activities. The 1,000-acre county-owned park contains 20 miles of trails and offers a diverse selection of activities. At 1,000 acres, A.J. Jolly Park is one of the largest county parks in Kentucky. Drawing upon the County's topographical assets and position as the gateway to Kentucky's bluegrass country. A.J. Jolly also offers an extensive network of horse trails for the novice or expert rider. We are proud of the stable and campground, originally built with Kentucky Recreational Trails Program funds. A.J. Jolly Park expanded in 2012 to include a new 28-stall barn, additional campsites with water and electric, a comfort station, a dump station, a pavilion with grills, and a playground.

Rules

Registration and Arrival Check-In Procedure - Check-in time is 3:00 PM - Check-out time is 11:00 AM - While each park attempts to accommodate your exact spot request, the on-site manager has the ultimate decision for spot placement. RESERVATION POLICIES - Reservations require 100% payment at the time of booking. - Reservation Cancellations or changes (other than holiday or special event weekends) require - 72-hour notice from the date of check-in (i.e., Friday reservation must be cancelled by Tuesday). - A $13 fee (per site reserved) is non-refundable for all cancellations to cover processing fees. - Refunds will not be issued for reservation cancellations or changes due to the following reasons. ▫ Inclement weather ▫ Early departures ▫ Cancellations on holiday or special event weekends - Festival weekends require a 2-night stay (Friday, Saturday) - Holiday weekends require a 3-night stay (e.g., Monday holiday requires Friday, Saturday, Sunday) - Same-day camping is welcome based on availability - Payment methods accepted: cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express - Check-in time is 3:00 PM; Check-out time is 11:00 AM Campground Rules - Stalls must be stripped (including hay) prior to leaving, or you will be charged $20.00 per stall - All campers must clean up after themselves and their horses, including hay and manure, at the barn and in the campground - You are only permitted to tack your horse in the campground. - No washing or feeding horses in the campground due to state water quality regulations and best management practices. - The wash area is located at the barn - State Law requires a current Negative Coggins and Health Certificate for each horse - No picketing. - No off-road Motorized Vehicles, no golf carts without a handicap permit - Fires are allowed in designated areas only. Firewood must be purchased at the ranger station. - No Smoking in bathrooms or yurts. - Lake swimming is prohibited. - Portable Toilets/Changing Stations Prohibited - Fireworks are prohibited. - No Cutting of trees in the park. - No littering. - Campers can be expelled &/or arrested for not following rules; Drunk &/or Disorderly Conduct, Failure to observe quiet time, failure to keep pets on a leash, Child Abandonment, Damaging park property & Theft. - AJ Jolly Park assumes NO responsibility for loss of property, life, injuries, etc. - Anyone fishing on the lake bank after 9 pm will be considered a camper & will require a permit - One (1) family unit per site, no more than 2 vehicles per site (Sites 20-46 only have room for one). - Primitive sites (tent camping) are limited to 7 7-night stays. - Any property abandoned or left unattended for more than 12 hours will be removed from the park and disposed of if not claimed within 60 days. Quiet Hours - Quiet hours are between 11 pm and 6 am - Music and other noise should not be heard beyond each campsite - The park closes at 9:00 pm; no visitors after 9 pm. Respect and Courtesy - Be respectful of others. - Offensive behavior will not be tolerated Speed Limit - 20MPH speed limit - Parking in designated areas only Pet Policy - Pets must be kept on a leash. - Clean up after your pet - No pets allowed in Yurts. Prohibited campsite items and activities - Music and other noise should - Alcoholic beverages - Glass bottles - Firearms - Fireworks - Hunting - Lake swimming - Loud gatherings/parties - Portable toilets - Privacy tents - Non-licensed motor vehicle equipment, including golf carts and ATVs Equestrian Rules & Policies - All participants are expected to respect the camps, trails, and fellow riders and behave in a manner conducive to family fun. - The following campground rules and policies apply to all guests. - No alcohol. - No smoking in or around the barn. - Trails close at dark. - No horses are allowed in the camping area. - Horses are not permitted on the lake - Keep your horse at a walk while in the campground and around the barn - Campbell County reserves the right to shut down all trails for maintenance or inclement weather - WARNING: Under Kentucky law, a farm animal activity sponsor, farm animal professional, or other person does not have the duty to eliminate all risks of injury from participation in farm animal activities. - There are inherent risks of injury that you voluntarily accept if you participate in farm animal activities. KRS 247.4027 Trail Rules - The A.J. Jolly Horse Trails are maintained by volunteers organized through the Northern Kentucky Horse Network. - To ensure access to the trails will continue for generations to come and to help maintain a sustainable trails system, please respect park rules and the land on which you ride. - State Law requires a current Negative Coggins and Health Certificate. - Ride only on marked trails and do not ride onto private property or ride your horse to the lake. - Please do not litter. - Riding on the road is only permitted in marked areas. - Please do not tie horses to trees. - No alcohol. - No smoking during dry conditions, and please use caution when smoking at all times. - Please pick up all manure and hay in the parking area. - Protect trails. - Riding during wet weather is not encouraged. - Please park vehicles so that gates, roads, and parking areas are not blocked. Watercraft Age Requirements - All participants must read and sign a Release of Liability form. - Minors (under 18) must have a parent or legal guardian read and sign. - Payment is due upon receiving the watercraft. - Children under 8 years old must ride with a parent or legal guardian. - No exceptions. - 8 yrs. – 12 yrs. - You can choose a youth watercraft with a parent or legal guardian present and on the water with them, or a double watercraft with a parent or legal guardian. - 13 yrs. – 15 yrs. - Can go on a single or double watercraft with a parent present. - The parent does not have to be on the water - 16 yrs. & 17 yrs. - Can go on a single or double watercraft without a parent present with a parent's or legal guardian’s signature on the Release of Liability form. - 18 yrs. And older can go on single or double watercraft with a signed Release of Liability Night Fishing Rules - Night fishing is permitted at AJ Jolly Park Thursday through Monday nights only (excluding any night when a festival or other event is scheduled). - Participants under the age of 18 years are not permitted to participate in nighttime fishing unless they are accompanied by their parent or guardian. - Participants must possess or purchase a current daily pass or season pass to gain admittance. - Participants who intend to fish beyond 9 PM, must check in at the Ranger Station by dusk or 9 PM (whichever comes first) and leave a copy of a valid Driver’s license or other government issued ID and complete a “Waiver and Release of Liability” and this “Night Fishing Rules Acknowledgement” Form. - Participants must check out at the Ranger Station, at which time the ID may be retrieved. - Participants fishing from the bank must fish in designated bank fishing areas only, and the setting of fires is not permitted. - No one without a paid campsite will be permitted in the Campground after 9 PM. - Participants will dispose of all trash and debris in the garbage receptacles provided. - Participants will observe park quiet hours from 11 PM to 6 AM so as not to disrupt campers. - Participants will refrain from shining spotlights or other bright lights into camping areas. - Participants will follow all other park rules and observe all posted signs and information. - Participants understand that violations of the above rules or failure to comply with instructions from AJ Jolly Park staff will result in the revocation of night fishing privileges for the remainder of the current season.

Cancellation Policy

MODERATE If the guest cancels at least 1 week before your check-in day and time, they will receive a full refund (minus Spot2Nite convenience or resort fees). If the guest cancels within the 1 week before check-in, there will be no refund.
